37th Metro Manila Film Fest Winners




MANILA, Philippines - ABS-CBN's Star Cinema proved to be the big winner in the recently concluded 2011 Metro Manila Film Festival (MMFF), with two of its films holding the top two spots in the box-office.

"Enteng Ng Ina Mo," starring Vic Sotto and Ai-Ai delas Alas, was jointly produced by Star Cinema, M-Zet TV Productions, APT Entertainment Production and Octo Arts Film.

It finished its run with a box-office gross of P237,879,178.70, nearly twice the take of the No. 2 movie, "Segunda Mano."

"Seguna Mano," an exclusive Star Cinema production, took in P126,630,979. It stars Kris Aquino and Best Actor winner Dingdong Dantes.

"Panday 2," starring Sen. Ramon "Bong" Revilla, Jr., finished in third place with P105,603,500.25.

The 2011 MMFF finished its run last Saturday.
